Create Docs

The Create Docs step is the final and most important phase of the website redesign wizard. Here, you'll generate comprehensive design documents based on all the information collected in the previous steps.

Understanding Document Types

The Create Docs step generates four types of design documents:

  1. Project Overview: A high-level summary of your redesign project including goals, brand information, and key design decisions.

  2. Design Guidelines: Detailed specifications for colors, typography, spacing, and other design elements.

  3. Conversion Sparks: Specific recommendations for conversion optimization elements to include in your redesign.

  4. Section Breakdown: A detailed, section-by-section plan for your website's structure and content.

Generating Documents

To generate each document:

  1. Select the document type from the radio buttons on the left side of the screen.

  2. Click the "Generate" button to create the document.

  3. Wait for the generation process to complete (typically 10-30 seconds per document).

  4. Once generated, the document content will appear on the right side of the screen.

For the best results, generate documents in this recommended order:

  1. Project Overview

  2. Design Guidelines

  3. Conversion Sparks

  4. Section Breakdown

Note that the Section Breakdown document can only be generated after the first three documents have been created, as it builds upon information from these documents.

Viewing and Managing Documents

After generating a document:

  • The content appears in the main viewing area on the right.

  • You can copy the document content to clipboard using the "Copy" button.

  • You can download the document as a Markdown file using the "Download" button.

Regenerating Documents

If you're not satisfied with a generated document:

  1. Select the document type you want to regenerate.

  2. Click the "Regenerate" button.

  3. Wait for the regeneration process to complete.

  4. The new version will replace the previous version.

Completing the Project

After generating all desired documents:

  1. Review each document for accuracy and completeness.

  2. Make any necessary regenerations.

  3. Click the "Complete Project" button at the bottom right of the screen.

  4. The project will be marked as completed and you'll be redirected to the dashboard.

Accessing Documents Later

All generated documents are permanently saved to your project. You can access them anytime by:

  1. Going to the Dashboard.

  2. Clicking on the project card.

  3. Viewing the "Project Documents" section on the project details page.
